Class: Fire Wizard

PERSONALITY:
A somewhat quick-tempered but proud magician who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Previously to her class cohort, she's viewed as a role model and rarely stands down.

Rather haughty, particularly in her younger years.

At present, she still shows this defiance; though you'll find she has a bubbly, sweet side as well. In other terms, she does display the traits of a 'tsundere'.

(However, she doesn't have the tendency to spout out the common phrases depicted amongst most japanese pop culture media. Instead, it's more so her defiant nature that comes out-- along with her tendency to not be willing to admit that expresses this.)

She's known for her extreme intensity when it comes to channeling her fire magic, so much that it can be terrifying.

BACKSTORY:
Quite literally a social butterfly, Merevylnn was very quick to befriend most of her classmates with ease. She'd gain an incredible reputation-- though admittedly some of that passion would be better placed in keeping up with magic theory, the teachers thought.

When the unsettling news arrived that her theory grade had been unsatisfactory and that she'd have to redo the year again, it trampled her confidence and she began to develop a bitter grudge against anyone who she felt inferior to.

Channelling this into her fire magic allowed her mastery over the hot flames to become unrivalled, and in a way, while the classmates had stared in sheer awe of her magic, they also couldn't help but feel afraid too.

And when a inquisitive, young male student walks in, spouting of what she felt to be an outrageous tale, meeting a mythical beast to growing a set of wings—she takes this to heart and feels threatened.

She honestly envied how genuine he was in wanting to share something with everyone, and he hadn't even needed to appear likeable to any other students; he able to do this by being just himself. And this frustrated her because she'd strayed too far from that opportunity, all to live up to the reputation she had built herself upon with the group of students she was with while her grades plummeted; she felt it was too late to return.

Merevylnn has spent so much time trying to be liked, so that she won't be looked down at because of her poor grades; and now Halsien here has just walked in, effectively grabbing the attention of her peers with ease.

Smiling.

She hates and envies that. It's both of these feelings that cause her to lash out at him because she's regretful of not being able to be herself while she could.

As a means of returning the humiliation she felt from her abrupt failure; she deviously sets up plan after plan to make them feel lost by bullying them harshly, spreading rumours, leading to their disconnection from their year level as a whole; to the extent of casting a forbidden spell to render Halsien's magic completely useless in the final exam.

a test of his nature

At present time, it's clear she feels remorse for all this, especially after witnessing first hand just how much Halsien has changed; and she somewhat holds onto the hope that maybe they could rekindle what was so irrationally severed by her harmful actions.

because over time she's also garnered feelings for him too; and she's not quite sure what to do with this.
