ive had to do this a lot too, its a really terrible feeling and i always feel inhuman if i ever force myself
its a really lonely and upsetting topic, but i want to tell you this, whats happening at my college campus right now
at the college i go to, they announced theyre changing a lot (15!) of our bathrooms to all gender bathrooms to help nonbinary individuals feel comfortable using public restrooms, as well as many other trans people. we already have a few single occupancy ""anyone can use"" bathrooms- but they have a stick figure of the "boy" and "girl" on it, and theyre working to change it to just a toilet to disencourage that theres only 2 genders.
and although most of these restrooms are going to be single occupancy,Β at some bathrooms (primarily the art school i go to), people have already begun plastering "all genders" over the restroom signs with reassuring messages that all genders can use any bathroom they choose or feel comfortable using
i feel like this change is going to spread to a lot more campuses over the next few years, and hopefully other public areas
and i hope soon, cuz i always want things like this to not have to happen anymore :<Β

I don't wanna say I know how you feel because everybody experiences things differently but,
I've had to deal with that too all through school... I think the moment I stopped going at school altogether was afterΒ
I tried going into the girl's room, some girls I didn't know called me a pervert and yelled at me to get out,
and when I tried to use the boy's room they just harassed me and said I should "know better" [whatever that means???]
I eventually learned to just hold it in until I got home but yeah... thankfully I don't have to do that anymore, but it still makes me panicΒ
when I'm out somewhere and I can't find a neutral bathroom.

Stop your pee might affect your health as well, please consider this as an advice to not do that that much.
I'm kind of afraid of public bathrooms, I think they're disgusting and so on, I'm always afraid that I might catch up something....
This is my personal issue that I had since I was a kid, and so I started holding my pee, until I relalized that it was gradually affecting my health, luckily it's nothing really dangerous but It might become a nuissance later.
Even though my personal issue is very different from yours, please take care of your healthΒ Β

I "know" that it's really hard for you, even though I can't fully understand your issue... I just want you to let you know that there's always a way.
Psychological health is as important as body's health, that is why a balance between both is needed, and it's not easy, it's a really hard achievement, that is why you're the only one who can find it, because it's such an intimate journey you've to go through.
I'm so sorry...., I'm just a random stranger and I know that you might have heard so many times things like "talk to someone or your friends" but as I've experienced myself I think that it's better to talk to strangers and new people, because since they not know you they might give you honest opinions....

all my life ive trained myself to drink as little as possible before leaving the house, especially when i used to go to school, so that i could avoid public restrooms in most situations. of course i still have to use them every now and then but i really try to avoid them at all costs.
