I absolutely love this! I'm playing a Gnoll Berserker in our current D&D campaign, and this guy pretty much sums up my character! Too legit!

Well, he ain't quite a gnoll, and he ain't quite a worgen. He looks kinda like a cross. Which kinda makes me go eeewww. But I wouldn't tell him that.

This is really nice, great detail work. However, I would like to point out that it doesnβt really look like the traditional Gnolls Iβm used to seeing. Great job all the same, smashing (or in this case, slashing! Har har...).

This deserves WAY more attention than its gotten, I cant get over the weight and the form and the color too, the color theory youve got set between the grey brown of his coat, and teh red umber of the armor plating, is fantastic, set off by the cream of the padding! It just pops off the page, and that frame of white doesnt detract at all. Excellent linework, Im curious mainly how your elines are so fine and unobtrusive, whether thats because you started at a large scale and came down to a much smaller final version, or what? Mainly Im just blown away, and loving this piece. Favorited for sure. So cool. -crash

Yeah I did start at a larger scale, 3 times the size of the pic seen here. But that's not all, the opacity of the lineart was set at about 60%. I did this so the lineart would blend in with the colors and it works effectively I think and I believe this is what gives the unobtrusiveness you speak of.

thats what I havent gotten yet! I will try that onmy next endeavor, lowering teh opacity of the lineart itself, so that the form of the figure is defined more via the colors and teh lighting. Thanks, I honestly needed the help!

made a sketch with a simple HB pen and then applied colors right over it using PS7.
