this was a commission for autumn ronk who was getting it for... uh...someone...else. i can't remember who now. anywho, i rarely do beast wars stuff (i can think of maybe 2 other beast wars characters i've drawn). the hands were challenging cause he has claws... and yet he holds a sword. i used mostly ref's from the cartoon for that... shoulda came up with my own thing. oh well.color job by matt black.

ya know what's bad? i have barely seen any episodes past the first part of season 1 of beast wars. >.< everyone always tells me how great "code of the hero" was and i've never even seen it. ;_;

There are only three seasons. Season one is FOUR disks long, and the other two are only two disks. I wonder if they will have Beast Machines on DVD soon.

i actually had season 1 for awhile, but i let a buddy from where i used to work borrow it before i left for air force basic training... that was almost two years ago. now i'm in germany and he apparently quit where we used to work. ;_; i hate having to buy it again. but... know the other seasons are only a couple of disks long is good. that'll make it a little easier to finally catch up

Dinobot is fucking awesome. Your drawing is pretty cool. Beats Wars was the best TF show beside Generation One and two. I also cried while watching Code of Heroes.... It's understandable. I was 12 and I was watching one of my favorite character ever dying. But still, it was nothing compared to when I saw Transformers the movie when I was like 6....and that Prime died. Optimus Prime is simply the best character ever created.

i cried my eyes out when prime died. sadly, i didn't see too much of beast wars... i bought season 1 of the show and then loaned it out to a friend while i was off at basic training for the air force... i never got it back! i have yet to see all of the series! gah! go figure. oh well. anyways... thanks, man!

I found this by accident, but this is really awesome. DB was my favorite character in Beast Wars... I was rather disappointed with the treatment of his character near the end, though.

Beast Wars, bah. Whilst it is a damn good pic, the fact its Beast Wars makes it lame. Tho beast wars was the best of those horrible re-hashes of the wonderful amazing Transformers. G1 all the way! Death to Armada!

lol. i'm a g1 purist too. most of the time i won't do beast wars stuff voluntarily... unless commissioned to do it (which is what this was). oh well. actually, if you really sit down and watch it, the writing for the series was quite good. especially starting around the second seasond. anywho, thank ya!

For someone who doesn't draw BW, ya did a real good job.

Yessum, I'm a Beast Wars freak. Unfortunately, I'm not too fond of Dinobot. I know to others he was probably the most interesting character in the show, but to me he was rather boring. But you did a good drawing of him.

I wasn't much of a Beast Wars fan because their continuity was really off. But Dinobot was one of my favorite characters because he actually matured as a character. Instead of coming up with your own thing, you could've just moved the shield slightly to block his hand... I know I would've done that because I like to take as many shortcuts as possible...heh. It's a good pic though. Looks like it should be the illustration on his toy's box.
