Composite image using 6 still frames extracted from a video. Reprocessed on August 20, 2018 in advance of the 1-year anniversary of the solar eclipse.On my first attempt to reprocess the images, I pulled an all-nighter on August 16/17th experimenting with ways to improve the images. Long, boring story short, I found a way to neutralize the blue color in the corona without neutralizing the red color in the solar prominence and also without significantly altering the overall brightness of the image. Right as I was about to save my new results, half the town lost electricity, including my house. (It's times like these I miss having a battery-powered laptop.) My second attempt to reprocess the images on August 20th went a lot quicker because now I knew what I was doing. Given my limited data set, this is probably the best I'm going to be able to do.
