Photographs like this are difficult to capture. I can't count the number of times I've photographed my thumb accidentally while being excited at having a vision like this one. The vanishing point is very clear but rightly off-center and part of a natural landscape. The river's and mountains' contours give that point a poignant depth. It's hard not to wonder about oneself as observer. Our horizontal vision takes in quite a lot, not unlike those steep peaks all around and that large, defining river. We're as small as those boats, remote even from the trees and greenery at the side.

No problem. I wish I could comment on the technical components of photography better, but once I see a word like "aperture," I think Portal.

I'll check around your dA for a facebook page to like or something: you do good work and deserve the support.
