Hello! I found this from ProjectComment
I was going to give a full critique on this photo but then I read your description and realized that I've been watching far too many mystery shows lately.
...A silhouette of a mysterious man standing on the edge of a cliff. Head hung low, gazing at some obscure object in the fading sunset. Well... my mind went to a number of places. Probably not the impact you were hoping for.
I like the asymmetry of this photo. The lighthouse stands tall but it is not a full dark silhouette. Going back to my murder mystery-filled brain, it's almost as if the man is standing there hoping that the soul of a lost loved one will be lead home by the shining beacon.
I really need to lay off the murder series...

Nice silhouette! I like how you can faintly see the blue and brown colours in the sky. I like how there's at first glance there's an uncertainty if it's bw or coloured photo.

Very well done. With the clear subjects this is very eye catching. It would bring more the clouds to visibility if the sun was more down and not so powerful.

Hello, I come here from ProjectComment -
I saw your photo yesterday evening and wanted to comment it, though I'm not really comfortable with landscapes as a photographer.
I would describe it as a seaside landscape whith a lighthouse in the sunset as the center subject.
I particularly appreciate the foreground of your photo where the blackline of the coast and the photographer give a nice visual effect.
The lighthouse is correctly exposed, it's not that easy in this lighting condition.
To be honest, I'm less a fan of your background. A detail, your horizon line is not horizontal, I'm used of that !
I generally read a picture from its left to its right, and here I com from a bright sky to a brownish one : it's not very appealing
to my eye... I guess that this gradient woud be striking in a black and white picture, but here I think that your
composition deserves a deeper color treatment (saturation, color rendering...) to become an impressive shot.
Anyway, the general impression is good, thanks for that picture.

The photo is really quite beautiful, with the contrast of the light sky against the silhouette of the rocks and man. There's a real sense of calm. The photographer also provides a great reference of scale, so we can see how huge that lighthouse really is.
