Description
We all know that the boomslang is one of the most venomous snakes in the world. It can open its mouth up to 180 when striking, and can hold prey in its jaws using curved teeth behind its fangs. A human victim can die within 24 hours after being bitten by a boomslang. And what is the boomslang's natural enemy? Enter the black-chested snake eagle. As the name implies, the black-chested snake eagle feeds mainly on snakes, including venomous ones. It mainly hunts from a perch or by hovering or searching the ground, stalking prey on the wing and then parachuting slowly to the ground to capture its prey. Boomslangs are normally safe in the trees and away from the snake eagles. But if its on the ground, the boomslang will most likely be eagle food.
