Description Apologies for the lack of pics (and for that matter comics) recently, I'm still in somewhat of a lull, art-wise, so here's a something I've knocked up recently.

I mentioned in the comments for my Looted Land Speeder that I used some parts from an 'old, beyond-repair wartrukk' on it. Well, turns out it wasn't beyond repair, just needed a bit of work, most of the damage was to the flatbed part anyway which I obscured with a big Orky skull. Also extended it slightly so it holds 3 models rather than just 2 (it's supposed to hold 12 but the sheer size a trukk would have to be to actually hold that many is retarded).

Apart from that the main thing I wanted to do was bulk it up a little at the front and put in a modern-day ork Driver (the ones designed to fit in this trukk were from the 90s and are quite a bit smaller than the present models) to make it look a little less out of place next to one of the newer wartrukks.

This is the last of my budget Ork vehicles, all 3 were made from old models I had from when I was a kid and didn't really use even then, this actually has parts from both the Rhino and Land Speeder used on it so even the parts I removed from those have been used. Paint aside, I think I only spent about £2.00 on a few spare parts for the last 2 which is certainly much better than the £18.00 I would have spent buying even the cheapest single vehicle from Games Workshop. Maybe someday I'll 'loot' that old Eldar Grav tank I have as well... maybe.

Just imagine the driver shouting "LOOK AT ME FLASH, BOSS!" and this gets all the more awesome.

As a subversion, when I was younger my Praetorians had an Ork wartruck from the Gorkamorka range (the Digganob version with the tarpaulin roof). This was pretty much ripped off of the battle report in White Dwarf for "fight at Glazer's Creek", where the truck was a "farm truck".

It was retired after I realised that I could only fit about two models on the back of it at any time.

Yeah, the size of the old trucks is a pain, hence why I extended this one albeit only slightly. Saying that most of the GW vehicles don't make much sense, I've always wondered how 10 space marines are supposed to fit in a rhino.

Well that's easy - it's bigger on the inside (for the Emperor commands it so). Same with Chimeras, which is why a squad of Ogryn can be herded inside.

I think it's the law of "don't see, don't tell".

It could totally fit 12 with the old Gorkamorka bases. I just got another set of AoBR Orks, so I'll be replacing the drivers of my own ork vehicles with them shortly, nice to see how good it looks. And go loot the Grav Tank so I can steal your ideas!

Looks like the Orks have a liking for toyota trucks, they find the defect a feature!

Defective is hoe they like their vehicles, makes them more fun.

Win! Always look to toy stores and cheaper cars when buying ork vehicles!

Meh, I'm not a fan of stuff made like that (used to have a land raider made from a German tank, parts of which were used in this actually), I have real trouble seeing it as anything other than the toy/model it was based on, I'd probably go for the scratch-built, plasticard route myself.

fair enough. I guess it only works with my imperial guard. I use jeeps with heavy bolters on the back as my sentinels with rough terrain modifications.

I've seen a few conversions like that, they're actually some of the better ones, I guess it's because the base model fits well with the Imperial Guard tech.

yeah i guess, I like to make my guard feel more military than they currently are. so ive got a few SAW machine guns replacing autocannons etc.

You got any pics of that anywhere? I'd quite like to see how that looks.

I've never seen a Looted Vehicle made from Eldar parts, that would be cool.
I have however seen a looted Vehicle made from a Dark Eldar Warbarge with tracks from the Leman Russ and a sail, that was pretty neat.

I've seen an Eldar grav tank turned into a giant deffkopta before, which was interesting.

I was thinking of maybe actually making the weapons detachable so I could use it as either artillery or a transport depending on the game. Although it'd be a while, these 3 have sapped most of my suitable spare parts.
