Well, I believe in God...but at the same time I think the statement fits. To me, what it says is that we have become so obcessed with materialism we have forgot what what good really is. We kill God off in our hearts because we embrace the money in our hands and what it can get US. We could do so much with the money we have if we only took what we needed and only a few convienences. Even our own religions that are suppose to teach of God, have really become little more than money machines themselves. To me it does not say we should kill God, but that we ARE killing God in our heart for the glory of fame and fortune. It may not be what you meant...but that is what it means to me. I really like it.

im a believer in God . and i like this because its pointing to commercialism as being a "God" thus being a statement i rather appreciate.

commercialism has killed religion.
Religion has got us where we are today with out it we still would be cave men killing each other (instead of armys fighting each other 
I dont believe in god either.

kill god doesnt really makes sense there for me, but the bar code statement is very good. i'd say it goes better without the quote, but good job.
