Pfff, I listen to both versions of Nightwish, sure I prefer Tarja but a different voice shouldn't stop people from liking them!
This is such a great drawing!!
I love her eyes.

hehe, i have since changed my mind from when i wrote that. i actually can't stand Anette's voice now, so i don't listen to DPP anymore.
and thank you!

i will certainly keep doing the comics! i love drawing them. and now, with the World Cup going on, i have some good ideas about Marcelo being a crazy football fan.

lol, I honestly did not know that. Im not one to get in the personal lives of singers....but I thought tarja was the football fan ?
lol.
That one will be hilariously epic.
I think im going to try to do a few cartoons on different subjects/people, see if I like it, no repetition cartoons, those are boring, npt much into creating patterns lol.

i think she might be, too, but apparently Marcelo get REALLY into it. hehe, i care a little too much about her personal life, but she's the only one. no other celebrities interest me like she does.
you should! they are pretty fun to do!

I know, she is the coolest person Ive ever seen!! Her philosophical views are ingelious, she's so down to earth, works harder than anyone in music, and is the most respectable person ive ever heard of!
I wish Canada and America liked her music as much as the rest of the world (except Japan)
there would finally be a half decent role model for all these Hanna Montana obsessed teen girls LOL.

exactly. she's amazing. she's gorgeous, sings like an angel, and most importantly, is a good person. and i love the special relationship she has with her fans. she treats us so....well. its like she actually cares, and doesn't just pretend to care like a lot of other celebrities.
i know. i keep thinking that if she can just get her foot in the door here, people will love her. a lot of my friends that usually only listen to pop crap really like Tarja and Nightwish once i introduced them. she's so different from anything we have here, that i think she could really fascinate people.

I want her here too, But It ould change things I think. I mean look at what people and the media do to people here, its different than there, they take amazing people and tear then apart, make then embatrrasments, and there quirky qualiries appear as freakshows, even though it should be celebrated . As soon as the media gets a notice of her crazy wicked unique attitude and not to mention style of music, ultimate bashing will occur. Stupid tv and TMZ.
LOL I shall take your understanding of crappy American music to heart. I'm on the same page too, as im in the 2nd USA, Canada lol.Me neither, just with the old Nightwish and Tarja music. It's wierd, i NEVEr obsessed over ANYTHING before, except for mints. But when I finally got a hold of the end of an era dvd in HMV, I freaked out the employees, by kneeling on the floor and holding it up in the air like a mad woman LOL...which Im not, but I thought they sold it only in Finlad, So epic excitement!!! lol Im trying to get all the albums now, I need 2 more then the bonus cds.

perhaps so. but after Lady GaGa, i think that there is a bit of hope for more....interesting celebrities. i think she's certainly strong enough to handle the media attention.
lols, you mean North Montana? yeah, i had a similar experience in a music store here. i found the End of an Era CD and i had a mild spas attack. i had never listened to metal before Nightwish expect for ONE Apocalyptica song. and then itunes, God bless Itunes, told me to buy Amaranth, and it just grew from there. and now i only listen to metal, for the most part. i've expanded to lots of other bands as well, but none of them are as important to me as Tarja. i have all their songs except for some on Dark Passion Play.

Yes, well, I like Lady gaga, her videos are interesting. BUt, hshe is so diverse, people arent being unike or accepting they are just copying ehr, Then they will adopt her styl, and thing s NOt that style will be ignnored. iTs sadly just for attentionn and gasp factor, because her nornmal style is glamor pop/ gangster look.
Before Nightwish, I didnt listen to music much, and now other than art its my life. My friend had the first ipod Ive ever seen adn she introduced me to this new style of music because she knew I liked phantom of the opera. It was running up that hill- withintemptation. I loved that song, and wanted to hear more. SO I shuffled through her music and though I clicked on a wi song, I never heard that kindo of music b4 and thought it was the same person, and also thought, wow, that singer is DIVerse!! It was Over the hills and far away, the first nightwish song I ever heard. I fell in love with it and looked up all there music on her ipod. Oldy enough, I stumbled on to amaranth in the beggining after that song and liked the newer stuff better. Bprobably because it was more modren and closer to the American media music range. They DID sell more here than most fin groups. But I fell in love later on with the older stuff, and now I HATE pop music, and the newer stuff is good, but i like symphonic opera and metaLLL music now more than anything. I look up music non stop and know SO much useless music history that cant be used because no one here nows about rock or metal that much, just the oldies lol.
I have dark passion play, that was their first cd I bought, and the one I used the least. I like the music, but its not the same voice, I fell in love with the voice. The power, hitting the high note, but then soft and , then fast, so much diversity into one band, no wonder were the biggest thing to hit the music scene there !! :S
I dont know what you mean by Northern Montana, never heard of it. After being introduced to that kindo of music, i did MAjor searching, and Found Lacuna coil, which got me into apocalyptica. I love opera classical, metal, symphonic and instrumental music. Like the music from Angels anf Demons was FAntastic. The orchestra outdid themselves!! Especially in the song Election in Adoration!! <3<3

hmm, i have to disagree about GaGa. from what i've seen, people get criticized if all they do is copy her. now, i don't think her style of music is all that unique, but her personal "style" is. so that gives me hope for other unique artists. but metal will never be big in America. but Tarja is not just metal. she's a crossover artist.
first Nightwish song i ever heard was Wish I Had An Angel, but i didn't know it was Nightwish at the time. i was watching this horrible horror movie, and it was playing on the credits and i loved the song, but forgot about it after that. this was in 2004. then, 4 years later, i heard Amaranth and then looked them up. i've always like the old stuff better. its all about the voice for me. and i'm not so much into other female fronted bands, like Epica and WI. they just don't do it for me. but i like folk metal and other things like that.
i like soundtracks, too. i have Angels and Demons and you are right, its incredible. Hans Zimmer is awesome.
lols, Northern Montana is what we call Canada sometimes, as a joke of course.

LOL, The U.s AlWAYS makes fun of Canadians, why, why, we are basically the mini me's of youse peoples.
NO Originality here, Your President has basically taken over.
..Which isnt too bad, if I was Usa I would vote for him too. EXACT example of how we are just part of the U.S.
I've done a few political comics a while back I should put up. LOl, I really dont put anything on here yet I'm on all the time. UTTER MADNESS.
I've never heard of Montana.
No, I agree, Gaga's personal media style is VERY unique and surreal, its like walking contemporary art. Not a HUGe fan of her singing style, but I like her music videos :S lol.
Hans Zimmerman is my favorite composer. I especially, ;liked his work for the Gladiator soundtrack, but My favorite was Angels and Demons by far! A few years back i liked Epica , W.I, and Lacuna coil, bands like that, but grew out of it, I do listen to a little bit of Epica from time to time, heard her new album and like the cover memory she did form the musical cats ( Love musicals, one of the best ones)
But Right now, My toppers are Tarja (durrr) Shinedown, Charon,Decended, Rammnstein, Slipknot, Aziza Mustapha and..never mind waay too many lol, Lets just Say i like the metal opera scene the most. However I always loved theatrical styles, so fim and musicals and such are amazing to me. Which Is why she is my favorite singer EVAh!

well, like i said before, there are good American bands, they are just hard to find.

yep. like Tarja says "good music is good music. there are no borders in music."
eh, it also depends on what you like. there are some good alternative bands, but not a lot of great metal bands.

i still like Nightwish, and i'm kinda glad they didn't go for another classical singer, but i watched this video of anette trying to sing Nemo, and i think my ears bled. she should stick to singing the new songs. the old songs were written for Tarja and only Tarja can sing them.

its a metal band, which i don't usually like, but their songs are very original, and there's almost no screamo.
