Okay this has been sitting on my harddrive for like six months and is finally posted now that the Reckoning is right around the corner.

But this was a really cute scene where Derek was just being Derek and Chloe was not having any of it. THAT'S RIGHT WOMAN, TELL HIM WHO'S BOSS!

I think that this is probably my favorite pairing in fiction after all of my pairings in Harry Potter. I read the Summoning last summer, right after I finished, I HAD to go buy the Awakening because I just had a feeling that Chloe and Derek were going to happen. A whole book of Chloe and Derek, whatever else could I ask for? Then, the Reckoning came out and literally MADE my YEAR! I squealed so loud at the end that my mom heard me and thought I was going crazy!
I agree that this trilogy should be a contender against Twilight. I like Chloe better as a character than Bella. Bella sits and waits to be rescued and likes to whine, Chloe has enough sense to do something other than that (Well, except for those three times where Derek gets to be her knight and shining armor, which just made me love him even more! 
I really do prefer this over twilight, even though I am a bit of a twilight fan. Darkest Powers ROCK MY SOCKS!

I love that pairing too! Since I read The Summoning about a year ago, I loved the pairing.
I read The Awakening last week...I had to wait for it come out in a paperback...I bought it two months ago; it sat on my self waiting to be read while I read other books that I had to read. xP
And yesterday, I bought/read The Reckoning

LOL I was so rooting for this pairing when I read the first book. But I was apprehensive because Kelley has already written a werewolf/necromancer couple and I didn't know if she was really going to keep them together. Although my next thought after this was how she was saying how much she loves werewolves. Derek had to win!
This seems to be the consensus with the sequels. 
LOL I got teary. Like happy tears, but guh, really words could not describe how epic the ending was. And I love squeeing with others about it! Have you read the first chapters of The Gathering ? I can't wait til next April

For me, that's why I love Divided, because we get a chance to see what it's like to be in Derek's thoughts. How his feelings changed towards Chloe. lol the possibilities are endless!
