Personality: Azul is a very quiet, soft spoken soul. He's not very expressive and it's hard to get any sort of rise out of him, save a few small looks. Most Canequine can't read him, which suits him just fine. He's very official and organized, sticking more towards the politics of his pack and leaving the emotional side to Sapphire. He has a tendency to come across as cold or emotionless, but his anxious nature makes it hard for him to interact with those around him. He cares about his pack more than he could ever articulate.
History: Azul has never been a social soul, even growing up. As a pup, he kept to himself or his family, never really making friends or interacting with others unless he had to. He knew he would become alpha at some point, but it was never something he wanted. He didn't know how to tell his parents, or even if he could, so he kept quiet and learned how to deal with the weight of responsibility with his usual stoicism.
Becoming alpha nearly broke him, at first. It wasn't exactly what he expected--constant interacting with his pack mates and making decisions he didn't feel he was equipped to make. Every day left him overwhelmed and burnt out by the end, edging closer and closer to shutting down by each passing moment. He never had a day to himself, nor a moment to take a breath or recharge. Everyone was demanding his attention, and he didn't have the energy to keep up, but no one seemed to see him struggling. No one except for Sapphire.
Azul had never been more grateful for someone butting themselves into his business. The moment Sapphire decided she would help him, regardless of his feelings, was the first time Azul could take a breath since becoming Alpha. No one really knew what to call her position at first, but she easily shouldered so much of the weight that was threatening to suffocate Azul. She was always there for him, even when he didn't realized he needed her, and the realization hit him like a lightning bolt one day. He was in love with her. Madly, endlessly, in love.
