Description

I found another old sketch book (Not too old though, a few years at the very most) with some forgotten sketches inside. Rather than posting their incomplete status in unseemly fashion with each one having its own deviation, I decided to put them in one page. Behold, my first sketch dump. Notice that it's one based around anthros, oo.

1. Okay, this one isn't so much anthro as it is alien. It's not an extra terrestrial (like xenomorphs, yautja, little green men from mars and all that) but rather just a humanoid form that's not based on anything (so technically it's foreign, alien, etc.) but I had to title it that because he's the lone non-anthro, oh well, he counts according to some people's standards. I think those lines on his body was an attempt to try and create muscles that were different from human muscles in shape...it looks weird....
2. This little guy appears to be a cat of some sort. I don't remember why I was drawing him, or where I was drawing him, or even if it is indeed a him (I don't let breasts, hips, etc determine gender all of the time with females) and I am quite confused about that strange looking head. I don't think I'll ever try finishing it because I have absolutely no idea where I was going with it, like that strange thing on its hand, weird. Also, there appears to be a faint outline of a head right of his/her own; maybe they had a companion? Maybe experimenting with head shapes?
3. Now I remember this guy with some clarity. He's clearly a reptile anthro of some form. I'm not too good at distinguishing when I draw, so he could be a dino, or maybe just a random reptile, I dunno. I believe there's a good possibility I'll try finishing this one. If you notice, he has quite a bit more detail put into him, not just in his shading, but also in his design with those wobbly woos and squiggly squoos and such on his body, and he also just seems to have a mite more effort put into him. There are even faint lines around his page suggesting that there was a background planned! (a rare site indeed) I think that with those skin markings that he's in a semi-tribal/semi-future settings, I like those!
4.This one's probably the most recent, and is probably the worst one here. Can you tell what animal he or she is? It took me a while to remember that s/he was supposed to be a hyena. Not looking to much like a hyena if ya ask me. I remember I wanted their legs to appear short and their neck long, and boy, is it long. I like their friendly expression though, not the face, the expression; it's almost convincing! Though, with this one, I notice that my drawings are victims to the dreaded stiff-body-and-limbs-disease! I must remedy this!
5. The second most detailed one here. This guy here has, as you can see, armor and his right hand looks to be as if holding something, maybe a sword or dagger from the position of it (it's strange talking about your own work like it's an freshly unearthed archaeological finding, dang you memory!) and appears to be jumping off of something. I think he's a dragon based on those horns. This little ditty makes it clear that I don't yet know how to properly make something look like convincing metal, IT SHALL BE REMEDIED!.....if I'm permitted that is.

There were a few others, but were either way too basic or horrid to show, maybe if I work on them a bit more they may appear in another sketch dump, if I make another one that is. All in all I see mucho mistakes in their anatomy, poses, expressions, etc. and am glad I can; for that's the first step to becoming better
