Made much better since the first one I made for my boyfriend. Made from dark blue cotton velvet, backing of a generic cotton-poly black fabric that resembles broadcloth that I had a bunch of in my sewing bins, the trim and details of silver duchesse satin. The tree, crown and stars were hand-basted on, and then machine embroidered over at the edges (technically just a satin stitch as my sewing machine can't do anything fancier). Hangs off of a 1/2" wooden dowel with narrow ribbon knotted through drill-holes. Measures about 20 inches wide and not quite 30 inches long. Took me about nine hours, by far my fanciest one, and was first sold at Ad-Astra in April and remade for future cons. Available for commission! Thank you! It was definitely a hard one compared to my other hangings. I'm glad I'd practiced first by making one for my boyfriend (I'm not linking to it... For one, I thought I could easily embroider onto stretch velvet.

I´m making drawings for making some of the Flags of Lord of the Rings - either ''as they are'' or adapted to the ''usual shapes'' of Flags.
I make Flags by sewned pieces, details can be applied - that´s an awesome way to make flags
