I still think Hiccup represents Summer; the time being perfect for flying, and Merida representing Autumn; the time for hunting and the fall leaves are similar to her hair colour.

Yup. Not only was his movie the first one to come out, I believe that he was the first one to be born out of the four. Well, Merida and Hiccup might have existed at the same time period. So who knows who is older of the two.Β
As for leadership values, Hiccup has proven to be a good one. The series/movie has that covered.

oh, interesting... you know? itΒ΄s hard to choose between them, but for me, the choice is just between Jack and Hiccup... the fact is that, instead of it, i felt identify with Hiccup just from the firts time i saw him.

In a way, Hiccup is like Santa: he sees wondrous things about the world, among which is forming a group of similar individuals. Great image, capturing that Hiccup is heading towards a bright future.
By movie, Hiccup is the eldest, followed by Rapunzel, Merida and Jack is the youngest. By era... harder to pin. Vikings were 800-1300, Perhaps Merida is from the same time period, but Rapunzel seems to be farther down the road: craftsmanship and all that; and I recall Jack was 300 or so during what looks to be the late 1900s, so puts him at around 1600s for his 'birth'. Unless you go AU, that would put Hiccup a great deal older than Jack by at least a couple hundred.

Yes finally someone who sees Hiccup as the first of them all! So many make it Jack but it was Hiccup that was born first.
