Hmm, I always wonder how people make these fancy lighting schemes. Are you color dodging the areas hit by a lot of sunlight? Or are the values hand picked?

Hand picked. The dodge tool is very tricky to use as it doesn't add saturation to the areas. Which would make it look really off.

Thanks a lot for the reply . I'm kinda avoiding the dodge tool like fire currently, since as a beginner I want to be able to accomplish more realistic lighting 'manually'. Guess I should try some color studies .
