Description
Character designed after a good friend of mine. This is the same guy on the LOU poster. This is the original color for the sword btw.this is from 2002, drawn on paper and colored in photoshop 6.

Wow, Wen. Not only are your characters always superb, but each time you draw a new character, I can see slight changes in your drawing technique. thats very cool. and looking at your works, is helping me draw proportion and character bodies and clothing alittle better. Although, some of my sketches bare slight similarities to yours. nothing to worry about, just things like, the fire across the ground, and the ornate style clothing on your Male version of Gabriel. I kind of used your idea of making pieces of cloth wrap around the figure. Thanks for the Insperation. Oh one question. how do you color so well with photoshop, are there any tutorials you could show me? and when your not using PhotoShop, how do you usually color your works?

i use a tablet with photoshop, way better control and handling. the only thing i color with when not using the pc, is color pencil.

Wow, you get that much detail and shading with just Colored pencil! you are good, lol. Ah yes, I have been thinking about getting a tablet for my PC. but I don't know If i could get used to drawing on plastic using a pen that doesn't acctually write anything, just sends the strokes to the screen. I like to look at the paper and my hand drawing the figures. I'll give it a try thought. Thnx for the reply.

by all means, real media feels way better then the pc, however, i like the fact that i dont waste anything on the pc until i print it. and on the safer, or should i say, more cowardly side, you can save the progress and you will never lose the pic. etc. yeah. I try my best not to abuse that tho.

Ha, how true, I've found myself looking for half-finished sketches at 1 o'clock in the morning. I think I'm going to start saving for a tablet thought. If you have any recommendations on product names and such. please give me any suggestions.
