warm and cold colors create a wonderful contrast between inside and outside. Great atmosphere!

Very nice use of light. Immediately that warm glow emanating from the cavern bears a lot of impact and conveys this cozy sense of home, reinforced by the surrounding scene; the blue of the icy landscape really creates this contrast with the interior; the desolate, dark atmosphere outside draws attention to the warmer inside very nicely, further heightening the cosy sense of the scene.
The dark tone of the nearer ice compared to the background also adds on to this, conveying the impression that the mound of snow is particularly dark and cold.
I feel as if the colours themselves are quite interesting; the orange and blue contrast heavily on their own and the landscape and brightness clash simply reinforce this effect very nicely.
The cloth works well to spice up the composition, and almost looks like a door to the temporary abode of the people.
The significantly higher detail on the figures and their equipment further draws attention to the cavern, altogether combining to very effectively create a focal point.
