Description
Designed to serve as a mobile base, command center, and firebase for small mercenary units. The Merc Cruiser is as well armed as a military vessel and faster than most commercial starships. While it isn't well armored for its size, the ship can dish out considerable firepower to defeat local defenses or support ground troops with heavy weapons fire from orbit or when grounded.

The ship has room for fifty troops, and crewmen. It can deliver these troops over three parsecs and then land them directly to a planetary surface with no need for auxiliary craft. However it carries two 50 on cutters, to deliver troops and supplies to a target zone. once it arrives in it's target area the ship can bombard defending units while its cutters offer fire support, or drop vehicles, and troops under the protective fire of the ships guns.

the arrival of a Merc Cruiser in a star system is enough to send any security forces, or militia units into a state of alert and anyone with enemies powerful enough to afford the unit operating the vessel to find somewhere secure to lay low.

This particular vessel is armed wth a battery of missile launchers, laser turrets, and sandcasters to punch through any defending craft in the area.
