I'm not going to go into how much pain I was in when I made this photo because that would spoil its beauty.winter continues to prevail over mystic Gitche Gumee ... despite the sun.

Okay, the logical progression makes it sound like I should say "me," but that definitely wouldn't work out because (besides obvious reasons) I a) would feel really awkward carrying around an icicle skinner and b) am pretty sure I'm allergic to cold weather.

I love these types of sunsets. The ice and snow makes so ethereal. I wish it would snow around here or whatever, but sadly it won't. Keep them coming!

I had a problem with my DOF for this which involved alot of playing with settings .. by the time I got my glove back on I almost had frostbite on my hand .. it hurt literally to press the shutter

Well, my eyes have certainly had their feast of beauty this morning and this one adds the finishing touch. Another beautiful composition and I really like the layers of colour; from bright orange in the back to dull blues in the center and then the mixture or warm tones and cool tones in the icicles.
