Yes, dears. There is more to visual arts than drawing and painting, no matter what everyone else wants you to believe, at least around here. There are 3D artists and various sorts of designers out there too. Remember, just because someone might not be able to produce a perfect quality photorealistic drawing or painting doesn't mean they aren't skilled in something else- like sculpting or photography or sewing or cinematography or whatever.

Such is the case for me. I'm basically at the point where I've accepted that I'll never be able to pin down fine artsy photorealistic drawing/painting and illustration no matter how much time and effort I put into it (because it's clear I lack natural ability in it, too), but I feel like my natural tendencies lean towards physically tangible 3D work anyway. Sure yeah, I do cartooning for fun, but it's definitely not my strong suit. 3D work is where it's at for me.

That doesn't mean I'm not trying to improve or that I can't take critique and feedback. Not at all. I always try, even if I know I won't be making a living out of it anytime soon.
