This is one of the best looking HDR photos I've seen. I'd really love to take some images in a style similar to this. Do you have any tutorials that influenced you? If so, are they online? Thanks!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I don't really have a camera good enough to do hdr, so I rely heavily on 'fake' effects that I can create using photoshop, unfortunately. I've gotten better a photoshop with time, and some of my fake effects have begun looking real. But, I can't wait to get a better camera. They're just so expensive. Would you have any advice for an aspiring learner armed with a basic snapshot camera and a fairly good grasp of photoshop?

Yeah, if your camera allows RAW, instead of JPG, you will get more details from the file.
Also if you camera cannot shoot bracketing (3 shots of different EV) then 1 shot will do.
1 load it into camera raw (photoshop)
2 lower the exposure to -2 (save the file)
3 Reload the original file
4 Set the exposure to 0 (save the file
5 Reload the original file a final time
6 Set the exposure to +2 (save the file)
7 Load the 3 images into your HDR program.

You will be amazed how much detail is pulled from the file!
Photomatix can do this auto from certain single RAW files

Wow! Thanks so much! I am definitely going to give this a shot. Is Photomatrix an expensive software? I'll look it up, hopefully it's not pricey like adobe softwares!

No worries, photomatix is not that bad price wise, check its site as it often has specials on
