If you have ever wondered who win in a fight, Frankenstein or Jason or the Wolfman or the Alien this is for you! Inspired by my favorite fighting game, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, I have created art for my ultimate fighting game fantasy, a movie monster fighting game!

I have chosen 1970 as the defining year of classic and modern. I realize that many of your favorites might not have made the cut. I followed a few rules to make the list.

1. The “monster” must be iconic and highly recognizable. That’s why the Cloverfield Monster or War of the Worlds’ Martian didn’t make the list.

2. The “monster” has to have some supernatural or super human abilities. That’s why Hannibal Lecter makes the list but Norman Bates does not.

3. The “monster” must be highly mobile and make for an interesting fighting character. That’s why HAL 9000 & Jigsaw are not on the list.

4. The “monster” must be a villain in most of its incarnations. That’s why the Predator or the Terminator didn’t make the list but Frankenstein’s Monster or the Wolfman did.

5. I went for unique and interesting over pure popularity. That’s why Jaws and Jurassic Park’s T-Rex make the list.

6. Godzilla didn’t make the list as a playable character because the game would be over if you could play as him. However, I do imagine him to be the final boss.

FAQ’s

1. Where do the characters fight?
Each character has its own background, (Dracula’s castle, Frankenstein’s lab, the Black Lagoon, Crystal Lake, Elm Street, Jurassic Park, etc.)

2. Why is the zombie named Romero?
Romero refers to George Romero as in the zombie is a Romero style zombie.

3. How does Jaws fight on dry land?
Whenever Jaws is chosen the screen floods. All his fights happen underwater.

4. How can Stripe beat anyone?
Characters who lack size make up for it with special attacks. Stripe has legions of Gremlins at his command, the Wicked Witch flying monkeys, the Invisible Man can become completely invisible except for his tracking shadow.

5. Are there any other characters in the game not seen here?
Yes, I imagine some monsters would be Non Playable bosses like Mr. Hyde, The Fly, the Thing (the John Carpenter’s version), which would morph and have the abilities and attacks of all the previous characters and finally Godzilla.

6. Will this ever be a real game?
I highly doubt this would ever be a real game based on the number of different companies that would have to sign off on it. Too bad.

7. Will prints become available?
Sorry, prints will not be made available, as I don’t have the permission of the copyright holders.
