The sun sinks into the seaAnd I look on it peacefully
The dreary world cannot intrude
Upon this sunset, this heavenly interlude
Between the work of the day
And the rest to which the night gives way
The sea roars its very own song
As the gulls join in on the throng
Of whales and dolphins dancing with delight
Hoping to catch the last rays of sunlight
The dance and song makes for a play
That is performed at the breaking of the day
The night comes, and stars peek out
There is no other human out and about
Just me in the quiet thoughtfulness of night
And its wonderful secret that gives me delight
Not just to me, but to the creatures as well
The hermit crab scurries in its shell
Eager to display the home it found
Shouting with joy, without making a sound
For we are just two creatures by the sea
That hear the wordless poem and silent melody
That is a secret treasure only earned by those
Who can see what nature always shows
The sun rises up, into a brand-new day
And as the night fades away
People bring their families
Down to enjoy the wonders of the sea
Not all exhibit the world that poisons our souls
But positive people who have goals
To make this world a better place
And see the person behind the face
The people leave, but ah! too soon
For as I see the rising moon
The sun begins to sink into the west
And makes the conditions the very best
For yet another interlude
That pauses, but as the world lasts, will never conclude
