Actually, Falco's surname has been always called Lombardi in America, the Rambardi must have been the Japanese pronounciation, since they have no Ls in their syllable alphabet. He was named after Vince Lombardi, the football couch. As for the Mario Bros., the silly live-action movie gave them the surname of Mario as well... Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.
