Description

Here’s an OC Pony many can have fun getting to know. This one is base on Pirate Class Job from the Tales series (or for better terms, Tales of the World). And this character will appear in JusSonic’s MLP: Universe in ‘Pirates Meet And Beat’ story. Not only that, came up with a good element representing such a character: The Element Of Dual. Now this one was something, one word to use both a sword & gun, & BOOM, dual was the perfect fit. So if you’re a fan of pirates, & ponies, & enjoy having both at the same time, this is the one to see, so enjoy…

Name: Kai Aifread ‘Captain Of The Aifread Pirates’

Voice Actor: Benjamin Diskin

Appearance: A youthful looking Unicorn stallion with light tan gray-brown color fur, long flows of silver mane & tail, & had magenta color eyes. He wears a dark heavy grey color body suit with deep tan dark-bronze stripe lines & bands, & wears a deep magenta color vest, plus a matching collar cape to go with his wardrobe. He appears physically built, carries on him both a cutlass & a blaster strap around the waist area. He may be young, but he carries the weight of a well-train fighter. (Noted Fact: Picture the appearance as an inspiring version from the Pirate Class Job in the Tales Game Series)

Personality: (Picture him almost like Rokurou Rangetsu from Tales Of Berseria)

SKILLS: Being a pirate means one’s skilled in the ways of sailing the open seas just how sailors do it. Not only that, but earning a title as a Pirate Overlord shows one’s renown means of strength for other pirates to be well-known of such an adversary with respect & sometimes fear. He’s Captain of the Aifred Pirates. He’s been train to be an excellent professional user in both wielding a cutlass & using guns in fights, sometimes using both as a fighting pirate style. Even with Unicorn magic, combining them with his sword & gun can produce wondrous results in battle.

Techniques: After becoming the Wielder to the Element Of Dual, Kai Aifread has learn new techniques in coordinating the use of both sword & gun & even combos. (Noted Fact: Much of the name attacks are related to what Alvin from Tales Of Xilla series uses.)

-Punishing Shot: Kai slashes upward, launching the enemy into the air, then fires several bullets at it.

-Moonlight Cleft: Kai turns his back slightly against his enemy, then slashes widely to the right and finishes with another slash from a full spin.

-Twin Moonlight Cleft: The alternated version of Moonlight Cleft. The user turns their back against the enemy, then performs a spin with a diagonal upward slash, followed by another spin with a diagonal downward slash. The user then repeats this pattern one more time.

-Storm Shot: The user points their sword upward, firing a blue bullet into the air that induces a rain of bullets over a larger area

-Pulse Shot: Kai crouches, holding his gun close to his chest, then waves it to his front, firing a large, multi-hitting bullet of purple energy.

-Sweeping Shot: The alternated version of Pulse Shot. Kai deeply impales his sword into the ground and releases a shot of purple energy in front of him.

-Devil Flare: Kai leaps into the air and performs a front-flip strike while his sword is coated with a blazing sphere, which upon contact with the enemy, bursts in a pillar of flames.

-Demon Inferno: Kai first quickly fires a flaming bullet from his gun at his target, then follows with a diagonal slash that bursts with fire upon contact with the enemy. Inflicting "Iron Stance Break" and damage effect increases the chance to inflict "Guard Break" through the enemy’s defense.

-Abyssal Inferno: While holding his sword in both front hooves, Kai points it at his target and fires a flaming bullet, which conjures a flaming sphere that Kai slashes, resulting in the sphere's explosion.

-Cross Cleave: Kai slashes a blue "X" on the enemy, then points his gun at it and shoots, changing the "X" into an arrow-shaped projectile with a yellow tip.

-Muzzle Roar: Kai slashes a blue "X" on the enemy, then points his sword at the enemy while holding it with both front hooves and shoots, changing the "X" into an arrow-shaped projectile with a yellow tip.

-Sonic Barrage: Kai charges at his enemy, thrusting his sword through them and impaling his opponent on it. A red circle then implodes on the enemy and bursts, with Kai drawing his sword back.

-Variable Blast: Kai points his sword in front of him while holding it with both front hooves, then fires several flaming bullets.

-Arc Blaze: Kai slashes his blade in a wide arc, shooting flaming bullets at nearby opponents.

-Guardian Grove: Kai performs an arcing slash close to the ground, conjuring a white circle around himself, and then impales his sword into the ground as the circle turns into a blue glyph, healing allies' ‘Health’ and damaging enemies to those within the glyph.

-Terra Fissure: Kai impales his sword into the ground while holding it in reverse as earth cracks in front of the blade and bursts thrice, with the second burst emitting light from the sword.

-Homing Cannon: The user leaps into the air and fires three arcing bullets coated with dark energy at the enemy at an angle.

-Drago Salvo: Kai performs a flurry of four slashes, then impales his enemy onto his sword and induces a damaging blow with it, ejecting the target from his blade.

-Charged Blow: Kai first slashes his sword upward single-handedly, creating a burst of light, and then slashes to the right while holding his blade in front hooves.

-Trap Shot: Kai waves his gun upward, firing a blue bullet into the air, and after a few seconds, a boulder falls onto the enemy. However, as this targets the enemy's position when the move is executed, it may prove ineffective against fast-moving opponents.

-Trap Storm: The alternate version of Trap Shot. Kai fires two blue bullets at an angle into the sky, and after a few seconds, a rain of boulders falls down randomly over the battlefield.

-Boilermaker: Kai first performs a back-spin flaming kick, then charges at the enemy while slashing upward with a flaming sword and fires a salvo of fire bullets.

-Smash Inferno: The alternated version of Boilermaker. Kai first performs a back-spin flaming kick, then charges at the enemy, slashing a blazing sword upward and smashing it into the ground while descending in a spiraling motion, the impact with the ground conjuring a burst of flames.

Ultimate Techniques: Kai Aifread has developed what can possibly be the strongest in using magic spells in both swords & gun combinations. And through the power of the Element Of Dual, he can unleash a greater strength.

-Hell Fryer: Kai slashes his blazing sword upward, creating a small fiery arc in front of him, and then leaps into the air while slashing with his blade still covered in flames.

-Spiral Wave: Kai slashes his blazing sword upward, creating a small fiery arc in front of him, and then spins into the air while slashing, followed by a rising upward slash, both attacks with his blade still ablaze. It’s almost like an alternate version of Hell Fryer.

-Legacy: Kai impales his sword into the ground, then draws a second gun and fires a salvo of bullets while dual-wielding his guns.

-Hairtrigger: Kai fires a salvo of bullets from his gun and sword. It’s almost like an alternate version of Legacy.

-Terminus Pride: Kai shoots down at the opponent, creating giant explosions. He then charges his blade and dives downward to the enemy, striking them with a giant explosion. This magical attack charges his blade. Special Battle Chat: "Open your eyes and witness your final demise! Terminus Pride!" Noted: It’s believed to be Kai’s most powerful attack used against the strongest of his enemies.

WEAPONS: Kai Aifread inherited the special weapons his ancestor, Van Aifread, left for a worthy heir to the Aifread Pirate name.

-Vicehein, The Howler: A silver handle with a broadsword frame of dark & neon-blue lines, & a purple sphere gem located around the bottom. Noted: Said to be a powerful weapon, once held by a Devil Beast in which the dark sword cries out in solitude. When Van Aifread defeated such an enemy, he acquired this weapon. (Noted Fact: Picture the Devil Arms weapon for Alvin from Tales Of Xilla series)

-Siegfried: A black square-shape revolver gun with a silver cross feature on each side. Noted: A special weapon Van Aifread found on one of his journeys, holds unknown powers to topple strong adversaries. Van Aifread once used this to take down a Devil Beast many pirates failed to slay in the past. (Noted Fact: Picture Zaveid from Tales Of Zestiria & Berseria wielding such a gun)

Background: Kai Aifread is a direct descendant of a legendary pirate Captain Aifread. Such an old legendary pirate hid his treasures all over in Equestria, for even the oldest among the living Alicorns to this day know the name of Aifread & those that share the family name must surely possess such incredible talent.

After following in the family footsteps to lead a new Aifread Pirates, Kai faced many obstacles time & again. Kai even found a lost treasure of his ancestor: Van Aifread’s Piece Of Eight known as the Crystal Seashell Of Nera. A pretty seashell crystal which emits colors like a rainbow, it’s a symbol that reflects love of both sea & the mare of any pirate’s journey. After obtaining such a treasure, Kai had received title as a Pirate Overlord because such a rare treasure was almost impossible to find, & became the 3rd youngest captain to become a Pirate Overlord after being an active pirate for only a year.

Once returning home to visit a grave site to give thanks to his ancestor, the Crystal Seashell revealed hidden writing depicting the existence of a unique weapon set. After journeying towards an abandon cave & following hidden written clues with the Crystal Seashell, a set of a sword & gun lay on the wall frame in an ‘X’ form. Once taking them off, they glowed with words of Van Aifread: “Heir Worthy Of Aifread, Be Bless With A Gift I Discover In My Travels. The Element Of Dual. A Rare Weapon Class Element Capable Of Using Both Sword & Gun. Together, They Wil Make One Known. Take Care, Van Aifread”. Ever since that day, Kai Aifread has continued to improve what he was given to honor his family name.

Bio: During the 5th Brethren Court Of Equestria held at a place called Shipwreck Isle, an assembly was called for those that held title of Pirate Overlord. Many of the members had assembled by the order of those ranking 1st & long number of years as an acting Pirate Overlord. First was Captain Sparrow Jack of the Sparrow Pirates for 500 years of piracy. Captain Jack Silver of the Power Spheres for 15 years of piracy. Captain Oleg of the Gold Pirate Gang for 7 years of piracy. Captain Iron-Beard of the Iron Pirates for 5 years of piracy. Captain Swash Buckler of the X-Crew for 3 years of piracy. Erik Wingblade of the Wing Daggers for 2 years of piracy. Captain Kai Afread of the Aifread Pirates for 1 year of piracy. Captain Celaeno of the Air Pirates for 9 months of piracy. Lastly Silver Wave of the SeaPonies for recently active in accepting her piracy heritage.

Everyone presented their Pieces Of Eight: SparrowJack’s Relic Coin Of Yo-Ho Mojo. Jack Silver’s Cat’s Predator. Oleg’s Golden Horn Of Ascension. Ironbeard’s Gem Of Torcuga. Swash Buckler’s Jade Tiger. Erik Wingblade’s Purple Orb. Kai Aifread’s Crystal Seashell Of Nera. Captain Celeano’s Seven Rainbow Bird Feather. Silver Wave’s Pearl Of The Seven Seas. The meeting was in preparing for the event Twilight Sparkle’s Coronation as Princess of Equestria. & because Jack Silver’s son Ben Valorheart is her fated lover, the idea was to give them special gifts: The Pieces Of Eight. But there were some disagreements in leaving the rule over all of Equestria in the balance of a still inexperience new princess. Because to some they couldn’t see peace be brought so easily & some of the captains pointed at accusing another of stealing from them: a disruption in the order of piracy as it were.

When things were getting out of hand, someone entered playing a flute of a familiar song that caused the pirates to cease bittering & fighting. It was revealed to be Pinkamena, who spoke up to help bring those that couldn’t see eye to eye together. After a rousing speech that settle things by looking back in how the pink mare help out each Pirate Overlord in different past encounters, they soon broke out into singing a popular pirate’s song: ‘Bink’s Sake’. And so things ended with many singing, dancing & eating & etc., the ways of a pirate life…
