As a fellow cosplayer, I just have to applaud you on the craftsmanship of this piece. It's freaking unbelievable how good this looks and how much all your effort shows. It makes me happy to see such excellent work.
As a fangirl, I squee with joy for season 1 Zuko. Because let's face it, angst is HOT

Thank you very much for such kind words. They mean a lot to me. A lot of hand sewing and two hours worth of latexing was involved.
XD Angst is SO HOT! I liked him best in Season 1 because he was so much harder and more isolated as a character, not to mention adorably pissy. XD

It is actually made of high quality pleather, although if I make another one I will probably use garment weight leather as it can take more wear and tear, and more scratches and dents can be buffed out of it. I cut patterns out of cheap posterboard, cut out two pieces of pleather, and sewed them together along the sides and bottom right sides out. Then I cut a smaller piece of plastic canvas [link] and stuffed it inside to make it look stiff like armor. After that, I hand sewed all the red trim on and then flipped it over the raw edge of the pleather and blind stitched it by hand. It could possibly be sewed to the pleather with the machine before the plastic canvas is put in, flipped over the edge, and then stitched down in the ditch between where it was sewed to the pleather base to hide the stitches. For the arms and legs I didn't use the plastic canvas. Instead, I flat lined the vinyl with two layers of heavy cotton trigger. To flat line you cut out the piece in vinyl and then sew it flat to the same pattern piece of trigger. Then you treat that as one piece of fabric when you sew the other pieces on to it. It basically just stiffens the fabric or pleather in this case. I hope that helps explain some. I spatted the shoes and used glue (you could probably use Liquid Nails for small repairs glue)and then used tiny metal straight pins stuck through the sole of the shoe for extra support. To get them to look clean and smooth I stitched open all of the seams on the front and back of the spat.
I don't know if that was the description you were looking for, but I hope it helps. Oh, and thanks for the collection add btw! XD Feel free to ask any more questions if I wasn't very clear.

Thanks! I really like your Dragoon costume. I don't play video games, but it just looks awesome! What type of plastic did you use (if it's ok if I ask)?
You make an awesome Hinata too. :3
