i think it's quite a milestep for me, this one.. anyway.this piece was inspired by the weather lately actually.. started around one month ago i left it, 'cause i couldn't paint the wreath the way i wanted it to look and came back to it today while having a break from some commercial work.. i decided to leave it more rough, painterly which i'm usually to scared to do.. i think it's better this way.
it depicts the, well, inconstant weather.. not really a winter, not an autumn anymore too. applies to my mood lately too.
as for some tech. info: NO references used, i just checked some flower and rye photos, but nothing direct, which makes me quite happy

dwa pytania jesli moge:
1. jaka byla oryginalna rozdzielczosc obrazka? [tak z ciekawosci XD]
2. jak zrobilas jej te piegi?

dziekuje! co do piegow - wyjasnilam ciut nizej po angielksu, ale generalnie standardowy pędzel w photoshopie (ten taki z kropkami) i/lub po prostu namalowane kropki, jak wolisz, bez znaczenia w sumie.. a potem trochę rozmycia i tyle
a oryginalna rozdzielczość.. trochę ponad A4.. a może bliżej A3.. w każdym razie wysokość sporo ponad 3600px..

bardzo mi się podobają jesienne kolory pracy. najfajniej patrzy się na wianek dziewczyny, te czerwone kwiaty przyciągają wzrok. wyglądają tak... nie wiem, zywiołowo? jakby wybuchały

The tone of the piece really reflects your description of the changing weather. I love her expression (especially the freckles) and I personally think the wreath looks really good. Nice piece

Oczy sa po prostu niesamowite. Od razu przykuwają uwagę, przyciągają. Spojrzenie ma w sobie coś ironicznego, jakby - mając na uwadze opis pod pracą - kobieta wyśmiewała cała.. hm.. pogodową sytuację, o.
Uwielbiam detale, jak znikające dalej włosy, żdzbła traw, kwiaty, piegi, no i ten blink na podbródku

actually the only custom brush used here is the one on her shirt, not really visible, as for the rest i used painter brushes. as for the skin, and i guess you're asking specifically for that, it's a standard photoshop brush, the one that looks like a ball of dots, just with custom settings (low flow and opacity, some scattering and later a bit of blurring).. experiment with that!
i might make a tutorial out of this one soon, though

Is criticism wished?
I don't really like her face, it's not very symmetrically. You see one eyebrow is higher then the other one. The nose-mouht relation is not correct. One cheek seems to be bigger than the other one... but for not useing any reference it's really great work! And I like the colors and the (details on) the headdress.

you do know there is not such a thing like a symmetrical face in real world, don't you? take any photo, divide it in two and you'll see faces of two different people. that's a scientific fact.
as for your comment though, yes, i'm aware of that, that's actually what, in my opinion, bring more life to the picture.

Yes I know that faces are not symmetrical. But if you would look front into her face she would look like [link] (I'm a very bad drawer, sorry. But I hope you can see what I mean).
Please don't misunderstand me. I really like all of your works, I just wanted to give you constructive critic, what I thought could be wished by artists on dA...
I mean, I can't paint half that good as you

The west, which is usualy warm, had big snow storm.
But in the east, we have nothing. In the past ther was lots of snow at this time of the year, but it's changed drastically.

....doczepię się do cieni...Moim zdaniem,jest za mało cieni na prawym policzku-co ona jest taka idealna,że nie ma cieni pod okiem?...No dobra-są cienie,ale jakby to powiedzieć...troszkę za mało naturalnie wyglądają...Ogólnie ja mam jakieś zboczenie na ten temat-wydaje mi się,za mało cieni.... I nie podoba mi się ta tkanina-zrobiona tak byle jak,bo jedynie jest ciemniejsza u dołu.... Brakuje mi zakładek,zagięć i innych tegoż typu rzeczy...
Za to pochwalę Cię za kłosy i cały wianek
Wydaje mi się,też że łuki brwiowe są dziwne,ale to pewnie ja wydziwiam... ^^'...

no niestety, to nie manga, więc tu się nie cieniuje każdego zagięcia, bo by wyglądało za plastikowo

ja wiem,że to nie manga-napisałam jedynie moje spostrzeżenia odnośnie pracy
w cieniowaniu nie chodzi mi o to,żeby każde zgięcie cieniować-wydaje mi się,że jak każda osóbka,ta pani też może ma cienie pod oczkami w postaci worków pod nimi bądź po prostu cieni...
Co do opisu-nie czytałam,bo nie mam w zwyczaju-wybacz
