Peachy could swear she had seen Silver fly off into the clearing by the outskirts of town. The clearing where they built that "fort" all those years ago. By the way she had been flying Peachy couldn't help but feel like she looked... unfocused. Her gut told her that something was wrong.

"Mom, could you perhaps finish of the shopping by yourself? I need to check on something" She said turning to her mother as they walked down the market place.

"Oh sure thing pudding" Pinkie beamed in response as she happily noticed one of her close friends down the road.

"Great, see you back at the house!" And with that Peachy was gone.

She couldn't stand to think that something might be wrong with her friend without her trying to help in some way. Granted she didn't know Silver quite as well as her sister, but she still considered the older mare a dear friend.
Trotting along the peach mare found herself by the entrance of what had long ago been their friend groups secret hideout. In a small dip in the clearing there had been some birches leaned against eachother to form a sort of tent looking thing. Peachy had almost forgotten what it looked like.

Extremely faint sniffling could be heard from inside the "fort" and carefully Peachy made her way down to it.

"Silver?" she said as she approached as to not startle the other mare.

One of the trunks had fallen down near the opening and Peachy had to step carefully as not to break anything further.
In the slight darkness of the fort she could se the blue mare, wings draped around her and her face aimed towards the ground, still sniffling.

"Silver, are you alright?" It felt like a silly question. She was crying, of course something was up.

However Silver jumped as she suddenly got startled by the bigger mare, she hadn't noticed her first call. Quickly she wiped her face with one of her hooves and turned to face Peachy, a forced smile plastered on her face.

"Gods, Peachy you scared me" she laughed slightly trying to act normal. "what are you doing here?"

Peachy sat down next to Silver.

"I saw you flying over the market place and wanted to see if I could catch you. You looked a bit troubled, didn't think you'd be flying out here again"

"I... come here when I need to think"

Peachy glanced down at her, noticing how she was avoiding eye contact.

"Silver - i'm sorry for asking again, but - are you okay?"

A paused followed before Silver answered.

"Yeah, i'm fine. I just needed some time for myself"

"Are you sure? You know if you want to talk I'm here to listen" Peachy smiled softly as she saw the other mare look at her for a brief moment, her eyes seemed a bit red as if she was holding something back.

She didn't actually answer however and olny redirected her gaze back to the ground, looking as she was in deep contemplation.
Peachy couldn't leave her like this, it was quite clear that Silver was anything but fine. Reluctant to just let her be Peachy instead reached over and gave the older mare a big hug, holding her gently as to be quick to let go if she started to pull away. To Peachy's surprise however, she didn't.
Instead Silver allowed herself to be held, not hugging back, but still just being there. The faint crying sounds returned and Peachy tightened her hold slightly as a sort of reassurance that she was still there.

"I'm sorry..." Silver mumbled

"It's alright, you don't have to talk if you don't want to"

"It's just..." Silver pulled away and sat up straight. "I tried talking about my dad again... mom got furious and yelled"

Peachy nodded, she knew about the troubles Silver had with talking to her mom, most of it she had heard from Sulphur.

"She always does that when I try to ask questions about him... I don't even know his name" Silver sniffled "She keeps saying he was a nobody who left us, but I've started to think that maybe there's more than that. Maybe he didn't know, you know?"

She paused as to think for a moment

"Maybe they fought and he didn't know about me? Maybe it was a one time thing you know... maybe she got angry with him too and he got fed up and left because of her. I just... I just really wish I could know who he is, maybe even find him" she kicked some dirt on the ground "Maybe he would actually like me..."

Peachy started to get a bit teary eyed as well and she once again hugged her friend.

"I sure do hope so, cause I know that he would absolutely love you if he knew" She said in a comforting tone

Silver huffed a small exhausted laugh and hugged the big mare back tightly "Thank you Peachy. I really wish your sister could be back here with us as well, I miss her"

"Me too Silver"

Okay so this took forever. But here, have some actual dialouge for this pic. Nautilus18 reminded me about it and I couldn't let it be any longer

Some serious talk with Silver. She and Rainbow Dash fall out pretty bad from time to time, Silver tries to not bring up stuff that she knows makes her mother upset but sometimes she can't contain herself and just wants answers. RD is not good with this stuff tho. The only ones who know who Silver's dad is, is the mane 6. Discord only knows how it happened but she didn't tell him who did it too her. Frankly RD just wants to forget the whole thing and supress it like a bad dream or something, so she gets very upset when her daughter starts asking about it.

Silver has started forming some own theories on what happened between them, all of them being relatively harmless. Hoping that maybe she has a dad somewhere out there that she could be reuinted with one day, however it's hard to find him when you don't even know his name.
