Qugeist [2008-05-03 15:49:30 +0000 UTC]

Oh, may I ask, how did you make the curvy lines?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

vincentvc In reply to Qugeist [2008-05-03 15:59:51 +0000 UTC]

In Illustrator you make two (or more) bended lines. Than you pick the Blend Tool and blend the lines together. You can hit enter -while the Blend Tool is still on- and click Specified Steps and the number of lines you want, for example 25.
Hopefully this was clear enough for you.

mattdanna In reply to vincentvc [2009-06-01 08:18:36 +0000 UTC]

Hmm. I'm still confused. How did you get them to curve and stuff?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

vincentvc In reply to mattdanna [2009-06-01 09:50:47 +0000 UTC]

You need just two curved lines + blend tool.

Create a line using the line tool, adding an anchor point somewhere in the middle of the line and than bending the line using the Convert Anchor Point Tool (to create bezier handles for that specific anchor point).

Create another curved line, select both the lines you've created and than connect them with the Blend Tool. You can change the amount of lines in between the two created lines, pressing enter while the blend tool is selected..

You can also go a little further using for example multiple curved lines. It's a technique you do trial and error wise, until you get something good looking.

I also explain it here: [link]
(Starting at step 15, ending at 19.)
