Description
Here is a drawing of Erik in the Red Death costume. Sort of. It is not the final design I planned for him. But I wanted his mask to resemble one of those ivory skulls, that have pretty often the appearance of a half decomposed head covered with maggots or even snakes.

In the vacuum of vanity all you have of the future is what already stares at Erik; his own face, and Erik as pragmatic about it as he was always forced to be. But to him, beauty was always more cruel. His resign here is palpable, and I wonder if in some way that in this moment, given what he's never had, that he resigns himself to that fate he's calculated for himself believing he never had a choice to begin with.

Thanks for the thoughful comment. I can tell what went through my mind. Actually that somehow Erik reflects over the inevitably of death. His own included. He sort of watches his own now dead skull.
