Description I had been driving around looking for something interresting to take pictures of for more than an hour when I came across this melting ice by Hafravatn.

This is actually shot with the 18-55mm kit lens! I had no idea it could give me something like this.

All (constructive) critique and comments are appreciated.

I love the depth of field....the little pits where the ice has melted first...great lighting too...

you definitely nailed the right place to be in focus. the ice plays nicely off the abstractness of the background.

Thanks! I was really surpriced by the macro abilties of the 18-55mm kitl lens. I can't wait to my hands on the 100mm f2.8 macro lens! And i'll vistit! I always visit the galleries of those who comment on my work.
