Special present for an old friend. He liked the scheme (Based on the paint scheme Timberwolf on the cover of the 1990 Compendium) so much that I'll be doing a few more of his 'mechs in the scheme.Related content

Excellent! That paint scheme really takes me back, and it's wonderful seeing it here in these Mechs.
Only advice I can give is you should do the "sides" of the hexes in black, not that blue-ish grey you used.

I appreciate it! The coloration of the hexes is actually based on an established personal standard, I use English Ivy Green for Davion, Clover for St. Ives (Ivory would be more appropriate, but I've already comitted), Kelly Green for Liao, Purple for Marik, Dutch Blue for Steiner, Cardinal Red for Kurita, Yellow for Mercenaries, Pewter Gray (color, not raw metal finish) for Smoke Jags, Skyline Blue for Ghost Bears, Canary Yellow for Jade Falcon. I haven't done Clan Wolf, ComStar or WOB, but they would likely be some kind of red, and a couple different shades of white, respectively.

These look so well done like they're the miniatures from my childhood that I was inspired by in all the Battletech media and magazines. They look so realistic in your well done set piece!

I sincerely appreciate it. This particular project was meant to represent the sum of my current skills, and I'm personally very pleased with the results. I've got a couple more projects I'll be posting in the near future.
