I recently went on a SP fic reading spree and discovered this fantastic one called "Lex Talionis" by Foodstamp on ff.net.You can read it here: [link]
So I decided to draw one of my favourite scenes ;___;
(It's a little rough since I drew it when I was still getting used to using the tablet... ''orz)

But seriously - any time you feel up for it, you should definitely read Lex Talionis! It is well worth the tears ;____;
It's written from an adult Kenny's perspective, looking in on the relationships between the other boys (which I found fascinating in itself 8D), and it's full of so many twists, and the descriptions are fantastic and everybody is characterised wonderfully and and and *goes on forever* *____*

Everything in your gallery is so incredible, and so distinctive. Youβre unbelievably multitalented. I feel very fortunate to be able to coinhabit the same community as you while youβre working your magic, truly.
Second, thank you SO MUCH for sharing this with me!! I feel guilty because my fanfiction doesnβt merit your attentions, but you are too kind to recreate this scene more beautifully than I did, or ever could. I canβt believe this is βroughβ to you!! Every part of it is gorgeously nuanced. The highlights on the bars! That glimmer on the handcuffs! I love the understatement of the left side of the composition against the vibrancy of their clothes, and of Kyleβs hair--HIS BRUISES, OH MY GOD!! THE TEARS!! HIS PERFECT HANDS!! Not to mention the gorgeous way the light is falling over them, leading into that vivid right corner and the pinkish shadows. Your grasp on color is phenomenal. This manages to be both bright and despairing. You are a master at mood.
Thank you again for this, seriously--Iβm moved that you would spend time making beautiful art for a really unworthy story. I canβt tell you how much it means to me. And you know what? My main worry while drawing this was just that my skill as an artist is completely dwarfed by your skill as a writer, and that I wouldn't be able to do the scene any justice. I am absolutely overjoyed that you approve of how I interpreted it, because your writing put such a vivid image into my head.
(Though I have to tut at you for saying your fic is "unworthy". TUT TUT. You are honestly one of the most talented writers I've come across in all my days of fic-hunting, and no foolin'.)
