Let's see if I can come up with a way to bring Pocahontas to Africa.
After the events of Pocahontas, all sorts of diseases ravage the Powhatan people. Pocahontas herself is protected by her spiritual connections, but most other members of the tribe are not so fortunate. On a suggestion from Grandmother Willow, the Natives use a year's worth of magic to move themselves elsewhere knowing that the white men would probably take over entirely soon. Unfortunately, they were also set adrift in time and ended up 200 years down the road in what is now known as Nigeria. I think that story would both be about the love between Pocahontas and Tarzan and about her people's adjustment to the new land.
