Commissioner gives me a character ref, I make a few generic sketches with just grey lines, til they pick one in particular, I fill in flats. Then I go to www.colorhexa.com/index.php and try to match the flats with shades/highlights I pick, and then it just get into click click click click for hours. Its all done with ms paint with no outside adjustments.
I might try to make a step by step guide of one maybe.

I dont know what those words means other than Tyto is a species of owl. Is there like chart of who has what?

The whole premise is you get a dragon bird. You level them up by drawing or writing. Then they can make babies which you can sell for real money or for more dragon birds. It's been my motivation to doodle in off hours and experiment a little with backgrounds and different rendering techniques.
