Hey! Long time no see! Sorry for the absence, I keep forgetting about submitting here, but I really want to do a "comeback" on Deviantart! ;_; This place taught me so much...(Also I'm sorry, I know that you can see a part from one of my another drawing... I wasn't excpecting it to turn out so good, so I did it too close with my last drawing of Zhen. X'D)
Anyway! Tiny Hohenheim watercolor. ๐ This character deserves so much love... Aaah Hiromu Arakawa is the best, my master *0*. Her characters have very intense, interesting features.

No joke, I'm super proud of myself on this one. I think I prefer to go with it and see what happens rather than thinking about everything. ^^ I really like the darker contours lines watercolor creates when you put to much water in it and you still let it dry. It does a unique texture I'm in love with. Thank you, watercolor, for entering my life.

Wonderful to see artwork of the side characters too! I agree with you, the facial features of Arakawa-sans characters are really unique and interesting! And FMA is undoubtful the best series I have read so far.
Nice work on Hohenheim and his typical pout! ;D I like the white highlights on his glasses and his hair.

I have a special place in my heart for the traditional medium, and I love it even more when artists choose to do anime and fan art images in things like water colour and acrylic. Long-windedness of me aside, I really like this image. I think you got that mournful look on Hoenheim's face bang on and captured that essence of his character well. He's always been so complex and fascinating to me so it's great to see fan art of him.

I've been a digital lover for a very long time, and only discovered watercolor recently, and I love both. 
Actually I only chose a picture of him on google, and then I copied it with a bit of my style, and I coloured with watercolor... So getting his essence wasn't that hard I guess? ^^' But still, thank you a lot for the compliment. โฅ

I know "copy art" gets a bad rap, but I still think it takes some amount of artistic talent to be able to recreate a character in the original artist's image. I've seen plenty of copy art in my time as an anime fan, and admittedly I've done a lot of copy art, and there's definitely levels of talent in regards to the media, so don't sell yourself short. Of course there's also the facts that water colour manipulation is HARD.ย I had a hell of a time trying to learn it before I ultimately gave up. So definitely props to you on that as well ^_^

It might seem weird but before I thought that paint in general wasn't for me at all, and in my mind it was even worse for watercolour. X'D Nut I tried it after watching a lot of speedpaint videos on youtube, and it came out easier than what I thought - I was surprised. But I still have a lot to learn
Yeah I agreed on the copy art matter. This isn't the first time I did this, and I can tell that it became easier and easier each time to get it right and learn from it

Aw, thank you! Hohenheim is such an awesome character, even if my favorite will forever be Edward, his father is just one of the best. TT^TT His story is so sad!ย ย
And actually even if there is not many fanart of him, it's even worse in fanfiction... :/ Which is weird, because there is so much possibility with him! o-o I wish there would be as much diversity of fanfictions in the FMA fandom as there is in the HP fandom.ย
