The Princess of Hyrule and descendant of one of the Sages, who called out to Link telepathically when Hyrule was in danger. With her power, as well as that of the six other Maidens, the Dark Wizard Agahnim broke the seal to the Sacred Realm, which had become the Dark Realm, and it was up to Link to rescue the Maidens and restore the Sacred Realm to its original glory. Zelda's own descendant would experience a similar situation, where the Dark Wizard Yuga came from the land of Lorule to revive Ganon with the power of the Seven Sages' descendants, and it was up to that Era's Link to stop him. Like Zelda of many eras before, since and surrounding, she is wise, noble and scholarly, if not a little spunky and chipper.
