and here it is, finally, completed. this has been my work for the last couple of weeks. even though it is a drawing, it took me more time to do it cause i paid extreme attention to proportions and the overall detailing. i adore the concept of the dominant, hereditarily rich mother who gives that genetic 'nobility' to her infants. as you can notice, one of the children is doing a taboo dance, kind of gipsy like but a bit more.. brutal, heh. full view is preferable.-> pencil, charcoal, fixator

This drawing is absolutely stunning! I love your use of light and shadow. The contrast, the expressions, the way the mother's garment encircles her brood, all perfect. I especially like the how it appears that her overpowering personality presses down on the children. I have only one minor critique... The light in the background is just a bit too far behind them for the highlights to be so strongly set to the right of their bodies. None the less this is an amazing composition.

I love how the dancing child is almost being shunned by his mother...it really says a lot!

I love the starkness of colour and angles. Also, the subject is really well finished and approached, you could dress them up in any period and they would seem well placed. Lovely!

love your work in here! the strokes you used adds a certain ambiance that you wanted spectators to find. the mother reminded me of the alien in the fifth element... the one who bolted out high pitch song. well anyways i love your shade and shadow as well..very well executed. the balance is there and the shades create a very immortal genre of art.

This is one of the best drawings I've seen in a really long time.. it's just amazing. I love the proportions.. and the mothers facial expression as well as the positioning of her hands.. and the highlights! It's really inspiring and makes me want to break out my drawing pencils
