Description Taking Second place of my favorite Japanese Giant monsters, its GAMERA!!!  That delightfully ridiculous giant turtle, with rockets in his shell or something!!

This version was based off of one of the 90's movies version of Gamera.... I still havent seen the trilogy... although I do own it... mayhaps its time to marathon it!!

Swear we got to have more Gamera love out there.  Have managed to catch one of his classic and yet to dive into his newer movies but praise be anything good of monster movie that brings you into that nostalgia of the Big G!

Rather like the improvements you went for in the later movies lad, very good considering the earlier versions of this big turtle were far more towards cute and friendly as opposed to Godzila and his need to crush everything that moves, lol.

Like before with your creature work with Charon you really seem to do some wonder when it comes to your shading and even more towards where you use your shadows to enrich the details of your work.  Personally love the toothy grin of his with how much each tooth looks so immensely sharp and the eyes as well with the way its almost hidden beneath all that armored skin, amazing dude!

The added touch of the tusks not being in his mouth is something extra do like that's with this newer form.  It makes him look alot less silly than in the earlier versions of the movies and really adding that triumphant and powerful manner in which he needs to show off more.

And adding in the shell of course too dude, a great piece of work through and through Verbasan.  You had an excellent run again through the month of November and even now this crab gives you mass credit for toughing through this long and still making some impressive pieces along the way.  You should be proud man, you've some stellar work here to show off your mad skills and then some! ^-^

Thanks a bunch dude

I am a HUGE fan of giant monster movies, and Gamera was definitely a part of it.  Godzilla was the biggest supporter of that cause, but Gamera was also a big contributor to that love!!!

Thanks as always for the kind words!!

Yeah its weird how even though Gamera was like a rip-off of Godzilla that he still managed to have something unique that kept him and his character alive with the fans for so long.  You did splendid with representing him here as if you hadn't noticed and I'm sure we're both extra hyped to see the big G stomp his was through the movieplex this year. *grins*

PS - Snickers bonus commercial just for you!

Ho DAMN! That's so EPIC!

I just love what you did with his eye, it seems so fires and full of courage.

The huge tusks are incredibly dun, and really add a lot to his look.

All in all really great work!
