He's awesome although it's a shame we can't play as him from tranformers the game.

Nice. If only they'd do a 'Generations' leader class...

Maybe for Classics 4.0.

Be nice if they made one - who knows what the line would be named? Universe, Classics, Generations... the mind boggles.

Well, he won't be G1 Shockwave for sure. But his design looks like hes on the right track.

Very nice. I'm almost done with my 3d Shockwave, except I can't figure out how to rig his left arm cable. My Shockwave's rigged for animation, I'm not sure if yours is.
But I can't seem to get that left arm cable to cooperate.
Do you have any suggestions? I would appreciate it.

Venksta In reply to MagusTheLofty [2009-01-08 17:41:53 +0000 UTC]

Yup, my model is rigged up. For the cable, its actually simple to setup. Just create a chain of bones starting from the backpack, and ending at the arms. Parent the root of the chain to the backpack. Then skin/envelope the tube to the chain, so it can deform properly. Once that is done, you need to add a constraint to the end of the chain (effector in XSI) to the bone or whatever the arm object is parented too. Now when you move the arm, the tube should follow.

Why not use it in TF:RotF?

Venksta In reply to WormWoodTheStar [2008-09-15 00:55:30 +0000 UTC]

Totally different styles. I rather them make something cooler for TF:RotF.

Wow. That's a fantastic job, especially with the model itself (as well as the texturing and lighting). If I had seen it elsewhere, I would have wondered if Takara was working on a Masterpiece series figure for Shockwave. A very nice detailed update to the original figure.
