Description
Two Grand Duchesses of Russia by marriage - Princess Alexandra Georgievna of Greece and Princess Elisabeth of Hesse. Their husbands were brothers and they became the best friends. Alexandra died in childbirth in 1891, Elisabeth was murdered in 1918. Ella´s husband Serge was assasinated in 1905, Alexandra´s husband Pavel was executed in 1919.Originally black and white picture coloured me.
