OMG, there is so much story in this piece...
"" It was an ordinary night. I was lying by the fire after a big meal, cozy and warm. Master was sitting behind his desk as usual, meticulously shuffling through his papers.
He was mumbling something, and only then did I notice that he was more tense than usual. I walked up to him and licked his palm to distract him, but he did not notice... that was odd.
I sniffed, fully alert, and all the scents started coming to me; the sharp smells of the mid-month. All the trees seemed to smell more alive around these days of the month when I was outside, and I could sense that dread that usually took over Master around this time too. The howls in the night that just now got louder opened my eyes. Sweet mercy, how could I have missed it... He was going to get... angry... again!
I saw him jump up and run to the window. He drew open the shutters and gazed up at the sky... I will always remember his horrid expression, the full Moon shining upon the contorted lines of his face and the terror, the terror in his eyes. He turned back half scared, half confused. He clutched the table and ground his teeth hard, eyes contorting in pain... he started moaning and growling. And then... the change!
Master's pupils shrank and reddened, he started panting and breathing heavily. I was out of my wits in fear. I just remember barking, barking frantically, pleading him at first, pleading him to close the drapes and calm down, then I had to start ordering him to do it... As the change took momentum, Master started growling and howling. I could not recognize words amidst the pain shrieks. I was still barking, howling and yelling at him to stop. The stench of evil was getting stronger and stronger and the whole table shook frantically. I was still yelling desperately at him, then I started begging and pleading, and I was so scared that I don't remember starting to back down and cower behind the table. The stench of ferocity, blood and saliva was everywhere, mixed with that smell of something ancient and malicious that started coming out of nowhere as always. It was getting stronger and stronger, I was barking louder and louder, Master was howling and screaming more and more feverishly. Only when he collapsed on the floor, shaking like a lunatic did the smells reach their mesmerizing crescendo. Something awoke in me, the smells made me hungry and angry, I wanted blood, and I wanted it NOW! But, I was too tired from all the barking. I didn't stop and I could not move. I became deaf to all except the pulsating sense of the smells. I fell and lost consciousness. The last I remember was the picture of a shaggy rug of grey fur sprouting from inside the ripping fabric covering the trembling pile on the floor. ""

Very good development of the picture. My only criticism is the eyes. in comparison to the head they a bit small, plus they are small, sorry to state. So when defining the character emotional expression presented in his eyes, the full extent to what they say becomes minimized. Like right now his right eye ( or from his perspective his left) looks blind, unless that was the characteristic. Possible more details such as a pupil definition will help, as well bigger eyes. Now to drop that matter and say, nice work. The theme is great with the presentation of the dog’s breed and the customization of his house with the mounted hunting trophies (that possible show he is a hard maybe reasonably but cruel man, considering his dog looks to be cowering in his presence). So yes hope to see the rest if this is leading onto something. If not then it was interesting see this work. So good luck with the rest.

Wow ... This really doesn't look like it was done as a digital painting. The man and dog look like they've been 3D rendered.
