"It would've been easier if I was human, wouldn't it?" He accidentally barked, then bit himself out of embarrassment.

"No," she replied rather blankly, "I mean we'd still be broke and all that, and the only thing that would change about is your skin color. You wouldn't look so dead if you had some flesh on you."

Observing the pale gray on the back of his hand, he had to admit that he looked hideously different to the human race, he looked very...well deceased to the human world. He huffed a tired sigh and darted his golden gaze away from the waking city life outside. "Just imagine it still," he spoke to the floor, almost swearing upon himself that he could see an entirely different image than what the wood reflected back. "I wouldn't have to hide from you all anymore. I can get a job and make money so we never have to live in this shithouse again, I can go to school and make friends like you, hell I could go drink at the pubs and no guy would give two glances my way. Wouldn't that be something, to be human for once...."

"You never know," he heard her softly add, "Maybe someday the world will accept you for you."

Sooooo I got a Wacom Tablet for Christmas and I'm falling in love with it already!!! I still have to get used to it though being that I'm always drawing on my laptop, but I can't wait to see what I can make w/ this baby lol. This is the first sketch that came out of it: human Aurel Unknown in all of his bipolar/opposite glory. -w-.....It's still very strange to see him all happy and smiling, I got to make a note to draw more of his happy side.
