Description
Ever since mentioned the interesting prospect of seeing the mane six as bat ponies. I can not deny that it was a very good idea and had me itching to get started. And as work won't start for another week, I now had the spare time to do this.
With the design I have worked out some canons for creating a bat pony.
The first is that the eye colour stays the same with every individuals transformation. A bit like with Buffy the Vampire slayer, where all vampires had yellow eyes.
Second is the manes become more spiky and less tidy. And it looks very cool.
Third is the cutie-marks change to have a more bat like theme. Like Fluttershy's butterflies became bats, Twilight's stars are now bats as well.
And fourth is the body colours and manes become darker.
Of course this is all my own head cannon and if you have any input that you might think is useful please let me know.
And also......Who would like to see a Bat-princess Luna?

Hey there, Vector-Brony ! ^^ I was wondering if it would be okay with you if I used this vector as a reference for the pose? Meaning I would trace over the outline just to get the pose and then from there I'd do all the work? There isn't that many screenshots from the show so I was hoping if I could use this if that's okay with you.

How do you do the mane and tail so well, I keep screwing up when I try that style

With the Twili bat it was me drawing by eye and adjusting till I was happy. I use the Flutter-bat as a reference for how the mane becomes more messy.

They already have bat ponies. Remember the two royal bat ponies that were pulling Luna's carriage in the Luna Eclipsed episode?
And Flutterbat is NOT a bat pony. She's a vampire pony.
There are A LOT of differences between bat ponies and vampire ponies... So don't get the two mixed up.

Um, they do realize that there are quite some many vampire hunters out there that would be glad to hunt some big game like this, since I asume that bat ponies are quite rare, and knowing that all 6 of them would travel together, I guese they and there town, which I asume they already vampirised it along the princesses, will have one HECK OF A BIG PROBLEME !!

Oh; bat ponies and vampire ponies are two different species altogether. This Twilie-bat picture is a vampire version of Twilight.

Bat ponies are just nocturnal bat-like pegasi. They live a nocturnal lifestyle and are basically like any other pony really... (Except for their unique traits that only they have, obviously).
