"I'm Gwen Stacy, the Spider-Gwen! Or maybe Ghost Spider! Okay, so I need to work on my hero name more. The first outright has my real name, and the other makes me sound like some kind of super spicy hot sauce..."Nothing like an early morning swing through the city!
Gwen here is based on her incarnation for Into The Spider Verse, which I am really looking forward to. I didn't get to include them in this pic due to the angle, but one thing I really like about her costume for the movie is that her footwear is designed to look like a pair of ballet slippers. As someone who has more than a few dancers in the family, I find that really cool.
I actually drew the character and the background using separate sheets of vellum board. Those who have been following me should know by now that backgrounds aren't really my thing, so I've been working on improving on that, even if that means doing them on another sheet in the meantime.
