Description This is my first try at digital colouring.

I finally bought a tablet and I'm still trying to get used to it. Lots of practice ahead, that's for sure. (But hey, it's fun!)

It looks so much better than my first digital painting. Very cute and well done! (:

Thank you! I watched a few tutorials before, because I really wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. ^^' It is very different from traditional indeed.

Yes, I finally decided to buy one. I think I have been converted. I'm trying to keep my style with it, so I'm glad that this looks similar to my other drawings.

I used Corel Painter for the sketch (I love the Sumi-e brush!) and Photoshop for the colouring. Now I know why so many people like digital -it's really fun.

What tablet did you buy it?
It looks really familiar!
Oh you are using Corel Painter? I didn't tried that program. I use Paint Tool SAI for linearting and coloring and Photoshop only for some little effects. Did you draw it directly on tablet?

I bought the Intuos (medium size I think?)

Yeah, I tried Corel Painter at first and I like to draw sketches with it, but ultimately I think I'm going to use Photoshop.
I drew this one directly on the tablet but I think that for my future drawings I will simply scan my lineart, it looks more like my style (plus I'm so used to it). I find it so hard to do the lineart directly on tablet...it looks so stiff. :/
But I guess it depends on the person, since you seem comfortable doing so directly.

Oh :3 That's awesome ^^

Oh no....I don't do directly on tablet believe me. I did maybe few drawings directly on my tablet but everything else I first sketch on my sketchbook and then I scan it and later do all linearting and coloring on my PC. I'm to used to draw sketches on paper I just so unnatural for me to draw directly on my tablet. XD And I love to draw on my sketchbook <3
