short aside from the current story-arc, as it were.aside from Gogo being nuts and Andy being the reluctant straight man of the two, there hasn't been much in my gallery that shows the two interacting in any way that suggests why the two carry on as they do.
the simple answer is that Gogo makes kick-ass sammiches. it counts for a lot.
probably not as zany a comic as i've ever made (if i've made any zany comics) but it was fun to do something that looks at a different side of these characters. even gogo has downtime.
not that it's especially important, but the bunny on Andy's shirt is Cuddles from Happy Tree Friends. Gogo's skull is a design from Akira Kazama's getup in "Rival Schools". why? cuz.

Many a great and vile matter hath been resolve via deployment of the sacred sandwich. (There is a god of sandwiches. His name is unknown, for it is too awesome to be rendered in the tongues of Man.)
I really like Gogo and Andy's dynamic, and largely in part of the difference between them, what with Andy being a fairly normal kid and Gogo being...whatever she is. (Possibly a living incarnation of Crazy-Awesome.) Her greater height is a large factor here, 'cause tall big girls like Gogo are KICKASS. There's a lot of ambiguity to their relationship that makes so many fun storytelling levels (though I for one think the idea of a future romance between Andy and Gogo would be kind of sweet. I'm a bit odd, it seems.
I espicially like this because it's rather sweet. For all her rambling crazy that she brings to Andy's life, Gogo genuinely cares about him. It's the little things that define a relationship; like making someone sandwiches for no reason.

You know, I've never tried a peanut butter jelly banana sandwich before...I've never thought to associate bananas with sandwiches at all, really... so this comic prompted me to leave my computer, go downstairs, make one and bring it back up.
So I'm gonna try it now.

this piece is....special. in a lot of ways, but chiefly because it highlights how close andy and gogo are. you've done a very good job in this relationship, friendship - because it's not conventional in terms of age, height etc, it's far easier to read it (as i believe you intended) as more of a bond between the two rather than actual romance. or, rather than merely hearts and harlequin stuff, something much deeper and harder to place. Though gogo enjoys terrorizing andy it's clear she has regard, even respect for him.
Two of my characters, Kit the bemulleted thief-girl and her younger, much more naive friend kelsey, have a similar dynamic to gogo and andy. it's lovely to see someone do this dynamic so well, gives me hope.

the nature of relationships like this as being harder to place or define is interesting to me, since they encompass parts of numerous other relationship types without fully being any of them. since they're so different there's a sort of dual-mentorship. i think it's risky in that there IS no definition of what they have, in that a crisis of any kind would be threatening on all levels, but it makes the arrangement all the more volatile.
as it relates to your own characters, it's interesting to consider how such characters even come together in the first place. i think there's a draw for "normal" people to sometimes be infatuated with the dangerous ones, while the dangerous ones find a weird sort of balance in having an anchor in their lives. i dunno. it's complex
