Requested critique (sorry itβs so long).
Well, first let me just say that you are really improving in the way you shade and color (I love the way you did the fur) and the sky is just gorgeous. The big thing here is that I believe the cat looks almost βmouse-likeβ something Iβve seen other artists do when they start drawing cats. I think the ear should be longer and more pointed at the tips, and I would also lose the tuft sticking out of the ear furthest away from the viewer (it makes it look very canine). Also, the whiskers should be sweeping back towards the cheek, all more or less in one direction, relatively straight, but with a slight weight which makes them droop just a bit (itβs actually a lot easier than I made it sound). The eye and part of the ears suggest that she is looking straight upwards, but the muzzle is turning to the side a bit. My suggestion: donβt experiment with head angles too much until youβve absolutely learned to eat, sleep, and breathe the simple side view and front view. Hereβs a wonderful tutorial if you need some help [link] . Remember, donβt be afraid to use photo references, they are your best shot at learning cat anatomy from top to bottom (just remember to credit any heavily referenced photos). A good way to learn head angles is to get a book of photos of cats and just draw every shape and angle of the face based on those photos. Do it until you have notebook pages full of messy sketches and youβll practically be able to do it in your sleep .
I also redlined this [link] to show you what I think you could change to get this accepted into our group. Sorry itβs kind of messy, I was rushing. Youβve got serious skill, just keep practicing and your art will be among the best DA has to offer.

I think this is one of my favorites so far, and I like the fact that it's different from the others. It's much more grounded with the sky in the background and I love how the fur makes it look a little windy.

I hate to brag...but I LOVE this picture XD
I was so heartbroken when that group rejected it >w<
But both of the owners gave me some very thoughtful reviews, so i'm hoping I can make it look even better~
And thank you! I really enjoy sky backgrounds because they're so simple to make, but the effect is awesome!

I'm glad you love it ^^
I also enjoy looking at the stars, especially when I just need a break from my life.

Thank you ^^
I'm going to probably do yours similarly to the other ones I've done, however I think I will try to do the same "fur" technique.
Though if you'd prefer I can try to do something more similar to this one featuring Dovepaw and Ivypaw. Your choice lol

I couldn't say honestly >w<
I don't really do much in terms of realistic, though I did draw this over a year ago-

I love it, you did a nice job in keeping the fur part of the cat and also making all the furr the same direction to keep a wind effect!
Nice job! It reminds we of how I used to draw (and somewhat what I do now)

yeah! np
wow you haven't had or many positive comments? thats so sad! You're art reminds me of mine so much when I first started, its kind surprising since I almost always got good comments
thats what I try to do, be as positive as possible, cuz I especially know how no one likes a know it all mean critic!

No, I get plenty of nice comments lol
The problem is that (if you didn't read the description)this one group never accepts any of my artwork >w<
So I've honestly been feeling a little lousy about it lately.
But this piece is steps above my other pieces and I'm hoping that it'll be good enough ^^

yeah I know how you feel, I honestly have had the same thing with me, in both groups none of my art is accepted! Im getting kinda frustrated with it since I try so hard and yet its not "advanced" enough TT_TT

thank you for the comment, I appreciate that you were concearned, I really didnt have any problems, I was just a bit frustrated... thats it, not pure anger or anything
Thank you also for you're kind words about my art, I could see a group founder being picky with all of the art out there.
You don't have to answer this question, but what is it you think I should improve on? I know I have to improve on a lot as does every artist but I am just curious what you would say ^^

Well, most of the pieces you submitted were of OCs (which we don't accept in that group). The one none-OC picture I found (of Brambleclaw) was a little too chibi in the face and the body didn't look quite right. Like I told don't be afraid to use photo reference (just credit your sources) until you get the anatomy down. Hope that helps.
